If you’re in Toronto tomorrow night (Thursday, December 8th), you may want to stop in at the Rex Hotel to hear Richard Underhill and some of the finest in Canadian jazz.. He’s performing and promoting his new release Moment in Time, an exciting new jazz album of original compositions.

The popular saxophonist follows up his 2003 Juno Award winning CD Tales from the Blue Loungewith this new release. Underhill is a founding member and the leader of the Shuffle Demons, and has traveled the world performing his distinctive music. He is a sought after sideman and session musician, and one of Canada’s most recognizable jazz artists.

Moment in Time features memorable tunes, compelling performances and superlative sound; hard swinging modern jazz with bop, bossa and modern rhythmic influences. Joining Underhill for this new release are Canadian greats Bob Brough (tenor), David Virelles (piano), Artie Roth (bass), and Ethan Ardelli (drums).
