The Canadian jazz scene is thriving with the enormously talented musicians that call our fair nation home. 2005 was marked by several new jazz releases that caught the eyes and ears of the Awards groups, with both emerging and established artists making a strong showing. Below is a review of the nods of recognition handed out in 2005 to artists, broadcasters, festival organizers and journalists for their contributions to jazz in Canada.
