Canadian Jazz Quartet Terrain

Cutting edge jazz group ‘Terrain’ performs at the University Theatre on Monday, March 27, 2006, as part of the ‘Jazz at the Theatre’ concert series, hosted by the University of Calgary’s Department of Music.

The quartet features music composed by the founding members, guitarist Ralf Buschmeyer and drummer Tyler Hornby, and blends a contemporary fusion of jazz, funk, Latin, and pop sounds for a dynamic performance. Derek Stoll (keyboards) and Richard Erickson (bass) will fill out the quartet for the concert.

Terrain has released two CD’s to critical acclaim, and performed at jazz festivals throughout Western Canada, performing with and opening for artists such as Ingrid Jensen, Jack Semple, and Chris Potter.
