Guitarist Buddy Guy and vocalist Shemekia Copeland stop in Calgary tonight on the western Canadian leg of their tour.

Four-time Grammy Award winner and 2005 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Buddy Guy is the greatest living example of classic Chicago electric blues.

The Louisiana-born guitar wizard has sold over two million albums and won nineteen W.C Handy Blues Awards – more than any other single artist. Guy’s fiery fretwork, intense vocals and boundless on-stage energy earned him the title King of the Chicago Blues.

Shemekia Copeland is a powerful, soul inflected blues singer and winner of W.C Handy Blues Awards for Song of the Year, Blues Album of the Year and Contemporary Female Artist of the Year.
