Saskatchewan Jazz Festival Headliners Confirmed

The Saskatchewan Jazz Festival celebrates its 20th year with headline concerts held in Saskatoon and Regina, June 23 – July 2, 2006.

Regina audiences will see 12 to 14 concerts including smooth jazz crooner Matt Dusk, who performs on the festival’s opening day of June 23, vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson, who is slated to appear June 29, and bassist Michel Donato, who is booked for June 30, among the many acts booked.

The Saskatoon lineup includes Hutcherson (June 28), Donato (June 29), piano legend McCoy Tyner (June 23) and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band (June 29) among the multiple concerts booked.

Canadian jazz artists confirmed are the legendary Phil Nimmons with David Braid, the Roberto Occhipinti Quintet, Michael Kaeshammer, and the Mark Atkinson Trio.

Tickets for the Saskatoon dates are available now, while the Regina concert tickets will be available mid-April.
