2005/2006 Blues Series Most Successful Year to Date

The 2005/2006 EPCOR CENTRE Carma Acoustic Blues Series has been the most successful edition of the eight-year running showcase of blues music. The series proudly reflects the traditions and history of the blues while highlighting both the present day scene and the future of acoustic blues music. Each show has seen a full house, demonstrating the excited anticipation surrounding each of the acts.

The 2005/2006 season of the wildly successful series will conclude on April 28th with a performance by Mary Flower and her springwater-clear vocals and guitar mastery. Her performances are chock full of old-time blues and hokum and conjure up the sounds and feel of vaudeville, old jazz and ragtime blues.

She is the only woman in history to twice place in the top three at the legendary National Fingerpicking Guitar Championships, and has six critically acclaimed CDs and three instructional DVDs to her credit. Mary Flower is in demand for festivals, concerts and guitar workshops on both sides of the Atlantic.
