Nina Simone, Albert Syler featured at BIG SMASH! Film Festival
BIG SMASH! is a six-day film festival devoted entirely to films about music. The programming is a balance of premieres, classics and obscurities, including narrative features, documentaries, television specials, and concert films. The festival is named after the seminal album by Wreckless Eric, and Eric will be attending in person to perform live at the inaugural event. Also in person will be Paul Williams, for screenings of THE MUPPET MOVIE and PANTOM OF THE PARADISE.
And don’t miss NINA SIMONE: LOVE SORCERESS (a rare 1976 concert film) and MY NAME IS ALBERT AYLER, a moving documentary about the late jazz saxophonist.
Tickets available at the door half hour before the first showtime of the day.
