Jazz, food and fun the tone at Peterborough jazzfest

The Peterborough Downtown Jazz Festival runs next weekend, and will once again feature it’s signature Jazz Restaurant Tour and Mainstage event.

The two-day festival begins Sept. 8 with the annual Jazz Restaurant Tour, where participants can visit any or all of the 13 participating venues, enjoy live music and nibble on food samplers.

The outdoor mainstage will run Saturday, September 9th from 2 to 10 p.m. at Charlotte Mews. The festival stage will showcase six top-flight headliners, including Joe Sealy and Jake Langley, and Beverly Taft and the Bossa Nova Project. Sharing the bill are The Kevin Carley Band, Carrie Chesnutt, Rob Phillips, and African-Canadian jazz combo The Blay Ambolley Sextet, who will close out the festival.
