JAZZ.FM 91 launches their 31st Sound of Jazz Series in Toronto

JAZZ.FM 91 has announced their Sound of Jazz concert series begins its 2006-07 season on September 18th at the Harbourfront Centre Theatre in Toronto, with a special evening hosted by veteran broadcaster Glen Woodcock and a concert featuring Jim John’s award-winning “Swing Shift” Big Band.

Canada’s longest-running jazz series, Sound of Jazz opens its 31st season with the Glen Woodcock Big Band Show, featuring the 17-piece Swing Shift Big Band performing a wide-ranging repertoire under the baton of saxophonist Jim John, with vocalists Dave Stratham and Larisa Renee.
