Daniels to Perform An Intimate Solo Concert

Jazz vocalist and pianist Dee Daniels makes a welcomed Calgary appearance Monday October 2nd to perform a solo concert “An Intimate Encounter With Dee Daniels” at the University Theatre.

The busy musician makes Calgary one of the stops on her list of upcoming tour dates that span the continent from her home base of Vancouver to New York.

Ms. Daniels lends her silky vocal tone and her four octave range to her gospel roots, blues flavorings and jazz style, and combines it with her warm stage presence, imaginative arrangements, and masterful piano talent.

She has traveled the world performing solo and fronting jazz combos, big bands and symphony orchestras, her diverse career highlights include performing for royalty, theatre, television and radio audiences, and sharing the stage with such luminaries as Toots Theilemans, Johnny Griffin, Ed Thigpen, Sarah Vaughan, and Joe Williams.
