Second Sound of Jazz Concert Features Flute Masters

JAZZ.FM91 features its second installment of its Sound of Jazz Concert Series with “A Tribute to the Flute,” at The Old Mill Inn in Toronto on Monday, October 16th.

The concert will feature a line-up of four of Canada’s most respected flute virtuosos on today’s jazz scene – Colleen Allen, Alex Dean, Vern Dorge, and Bill McBirnie. The artists will perform individually and together in homage to the legendary flautists they most admire. The accomplished Andrew Craig Trio will be the featured support group throughout the concert.

All concerts in the ‘Sound of Jazz’ Series are recorded for later broadcast on JAZZ.FM91 throughout the year.

The 11 part 2006-2007 ‘Sound of Jazz’ Concert Series is under the direction of Executive Producer Ross Porter, JAZZ.FM91 President and Chief Executive Officer, with event producers pianist/producer/composer/publisher Bill King and Jaymz Bee, JAZZ.FM91 on-air host/recording producer/bandleader/entertainer.
