Canada’s favourite Latin guitarist touches down in Georgia on US tour
Canada’s flamenco guitar giant Jesse Cook touches down in Statesboro, Georgia, this Friday, Oct. 6, on his extended US tour in celebration of the release of his new CD Montreal: Live (Narada).
The guitarist’s new CD, a collection of 14 songs recorded live during Le Festival International de Jazz de Montreal (2004), marks the fourth in his growing discography, and follows on the heels of the release of his DVD La Belle Province,also recorded live on another date at the same festival event.
Montreal: Live features songs spanning Cook’s entire career from all five of his best selling albums, and guest performances by Danny Wilde (Fall At Your Feet), Egyptian singer Maryem Tollar, and percussion ensemble The Samba Squad.
Cook’s US tour dates include stops in Arizona, Texas, North Carolina, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, and Virginia, among the many. When Cook returns to Canada in April, 2007, his tour continues as he performs multiple dates across Ontario.
