International Songwriting Contest Offers 150k in Prizes

International Songwriting Competition Deadline Oct. 16

The International Songwriting Competition (ISC), a US-based annual songwriting contest, announces its deadline for entries for this year’s competition falls on Oct 16, 2006.

Amateur and professional songwriters and musicians are invited to participate in the contest. Offering over $150,000 in prizes including recording studio time, entrants may submit as many songs as they wish in a 18 different categories ranging from pop to jazz, hip-hop to country. Anyone of any age can enter, except for the teen category, which requires that entrants be 18 or under.

ISC has a prestigious panel of judges including artists such as Tom Waits, Brian Wilson, Macy Gray, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more; as well as leading industry persons such as Monte Lipman (President- Universal Records), Charlie Walk (President – Epic Records), and Steve Lillywhite (Sr VP A&R/Producer – Columbia Records), among the many esteemed names.
