Johnny Summers Quintet to Perform at “Jazz Penguin” Fundraiser

The Johnny Summers Quintet will headline the second annual “Jazzy Penguin” fundraiser presented by the Epilepsy Association of Calgary, on Tuesday, Nov 28, at the Rose & Crown Pub.

“Jazzy Penguin” is one of the Epilepsy Association’s popular fundraising events, known for it’s relaxed atmostphere and an evening of food & drinks, live jazz, and activities including a silent auction & 50/50 draw.

Calgary trumpeter/vocalist Summers, who is is best known for his relaxed, straight-ahead approach to originals and the songs of Gershwin, Porter, and Ellington et al, is taking part in the fundraiser for the second year, and will perform in quintet for the event.
