Jazz vocalist Cindy McLeod is known for her evocative and intimate style, and for her fresh approach to mainstream and bebop, often writing lyrics and performing instrumentals never sung before. The Calgary-based vocalist has shared the stage with some of Canada’s finest, including P.J. Perry, Miles Black, Linton Garner, Bob Stroup, Bob Tildesley, Charlie Austin, and Brian Buchanan, to name a few.

Cindy has performed at clubs and/or festivals in Canada, Asia, Europe, and has released three CD’s, her debut Easy Living, a duet album with long time collaborator, pianist Brian Buchanan Ask Me Now, and her latest, Conversation With Love, featuring alto saxophonist P.J. Perry and master drummer Keith Copeland.

While performing and recording is her first passion, Cindy is also known for her work as the writer/owner of www.jazzelements.com, as well as the Associate Producer of the Calgary International Blues Festival.

One of the leading figures in Mexico’s musical development, Roberto Aymes is an award-winning bass virtuoso and composer who has built a well-established career for more than three decades in his native country and around the world. His work artfully bridges classical and jazz music to create a hybrid of “jazzistico language with symphonic music,” and has been featured by dozens of acclaimed symphonies and jazz ensembles.

Roberto Aymes is considered a pioneer in the Mexican music industry, his tireless efforts to nurture and support jazz range from being a music writer to his nearly 29 year stint as a radio show host.

His extensive performance credits and lengthy discography number in the thousands, sharing the stage and recording studio with legends from the jazz, classical and world music genres for over three decades.

I feel truly privileged to be sharing the stage with musicians of this calibre, and will be reporting from Mexico regularly to share the events as they unfold, so visit here often for updates!
