Jazz With Cam Ryga on the Bill in Langley for Noon Performance
Kwantlen University College’s Langley campus hosts another in it’s Music at Midweek concert series this coming Wednesday with the Campbell Ryga Trio, who will lead a brief afternoon acoustic set for the performance.
Ryga, the three-time Juno award-winning jazz saxophonist and Kwantlen music instructor, will be joined by pianist Chris Sigerson and bassist Jodi Proznick for the free noon-hour concert.
Held regularly throughout the school year, the concert series features both professional musicians and Kwantlen students, and helps to expose the school’s music students to the work of professional musicians and to showcase the students in a public forum. Concerts range from solo voice recitals to brass combos, piano and guitar performances.
Ryga has been nominated for five Junos, a Grammy, and has twice been the recipient of the Western Canadian Music Award in the Jazz category.
Wednesday, Jan. 17 12:15-1 p.m.
