Original Jazz From the Prairies
The Hutchinson Andrew Trio has been a fixture on the Alberta jazz scene since 2002, creating and performing original jazz for enthusiastic festival and club crowds.
On Monday, Jan. 22, the talented group will be appearing at the University of Calgary Theatre to warm up the winter’s evening with their unique blend of
contemporary swing, latin, and acoustic grooves.
Co-leaders Chris Andrew (piano) and Kodi Hutchinson (double bass) met in 1999 and the two instantly hit it off both musically and as friends. Joined by Sandro Dominelli (drums), the the trio will feature original compositions from their first album Lost but not Forgotten—nominated for the 2006 Western Canadian Music Awards—as well as pieces from their new album slated for release in March.
