The perfect Canadian blend… music and hockey

Richard Underhill, known for his work as a jazz saxophonist and composer, trades in his instrument for a hockey stick to battle it out for the 2007 Juno Cup, where some of Canada’s leading musicians will face-off against some of the NHL’s finest.

The Juno Cup game is slated for Friday, March 30th at 7:00 pm in Prince Albert, and will be broadcast for the first time by MTV. The game promises to be a fun, competitive, non-contact hockey match and is in support of CARAS’ music education program, MusiCan.

Underhill joins Rockers Team members Andrew Scott (Sloan), Barney Bentall, Brent Butt (Corner Gas), Chris Murphy (Sloan), Gavin Brown, George Canyon, Jason Dunn (Hawk Nelson), Jason Plumb, (Jason Plumb and The Willing), Jay Bodner (Eagle and Hawk), Jim Cuddy (Blue Rodeo), John Berry, Jon Gallant (Billy Talent), Kevin Parent, Luke Doucet, Michael Hollett, Richard Underhill, Sam Roberts, Tomi Swick, Vince Fontaine (Eagle and Hawk), and Zack Werner (Canadian Idol).

NHL All-Stars include Bob Probert, Brad Dalgarno, Brian Glynn, Dave Manson, Fred Sasakamoose, Gary Leeman, Mark Napier, Mike Pelyk, Paul Coffey, Russ Courtnall, Tim Cheveldae, and Wendel Clark.
