Bob Dylan to perform opening night of Ottawa Bluesfest
Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest has announced Bob Dylan will appear on opening night as one of the featured headliners for the 2007 festival, slated for July 5 to 15. The fourteenth annual 11-day event will be held at LeBreton Flats Park, Ottawa’s new festival site next to the Canadian War Museum.
Among the many blues acts announced are George Thorogood, Watermelon Slim, Henry Butler, Gary U.S. Bonds, James Hunter, and legendary Chicago guitarist Buddy Guy. Artists of other genres scheduled to appear at the event include the White Stripes, Steve Miller, Blue Rodeo, Metric and Femi Kuti.
Bob Dylan will appear in concert at Casino Rama, in Orillia, Ont., on July 7 and 8.
