Luminato Festival brings a Touch of New Orleans to Toronto

Luminato, Toronto’s newest arts festival, is scheduled to run June 1 to June 10 and will take place at Live @Courthouse. Bringing a little funk and Cajun flavour to Toronto via New Orleans, the festival will feature headliners Susie Arioli, David Braid, Kevin Clark, Jake Langley and Joey DeFrancesco in ten nights of jazz concerts.

June 1-3
Susie Arioli Band featuring Jordan Officer
. Known as a musician’s singer, Arioli first broke out on the scene in 1997 and has been playing to acclaim with 4 best selling jazz albums. By deftly combining elements of blues, country, jazz and pop – the classic and the obscure – the Susie Arioli Band has created its own intoxicating sound.

June 4, 5
William Sperendei / David Braid Quintet with special guest Doug Wamble
hit up the Courthouse with a twist. Trained by the Marsalis patriarch, Ellis, William Sperendei is well versed in all things New Orleans.

June 6, 7
Kevin Clark Quartet

June 8-10
Joey De Francesco Trio
featuring B3 organ master Joey DeFrancesco withJake Langley, one of the country’s top premier jazz guitarists and Terry Clarke.
