A Good Ole Juke Joint Party with Richie Pollack

Calgary harmonica player Richie Pollack returns to the Red Onion stage this Friday June 8th for a night of blues. Joining Richie for the show are drummer Tyler Hornby, bassist Kodi Hutchinson and guitarist Ralf Buschmeyer.

Well-known to local audiences as Calgary’s “cross-harp ambassador”, Richie’s debut release Stew was nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award for ‘Best Blues Album’ (2007).

For the last 20 years Richie fronted such bands as The Jump Daddies and the Real Deal before stepping out as leader, and shared the stage with such names as Shannon Powell (Harry Connick Jr.), Charlie Wood, Billy Branch and Amos Garrett. He has also appeared as guest on recordings by Donald Ray Johnson and Mike Clark.
