Historic Museum Home to 1st Annual Blues Festival
The first annual Prince George “Railway Blues Festival” will run Saturday, August 25th, in Prince George, B.C., with a small but mightly lineup of local and regional artists.
Presented by the Blues Underground Network in association with the Prince George Railway Museum, the festival will feature a full day of music at the historic site.
Headliners for the inaugural event include the pairing of Maple Blues award-winning guitarist Chris Whitely and “Canada’s National Treasure,” singer Diana Braithwaite; the award-winning roots & blues singer-songwriter Layla Zoe backed by Single Car Garage; and blues harmonica man Harp Dog Brown with guitarist Jason Buie in a 4-piece band. Also included on the program are local groups the Kathy Frank Band and the Rae King Blues Band.
