Regina Sextet Pays Tribute to Miles
Next Friday, Oct. 19th, the Regina Jazz Society continues with its ongoing concert series with the Kevin Kasha Septet, who will celebrate the life and music of Miles Davis in a concert presentation at Le Bistro. The septet is formed by Regina’s finest jazz players under the leadership of trumpeter Kasha.
Kevin Kasha graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with a Diploma in Jazz Studies. Then he received a Business Degree from the University of Regina and is now known as the Jazz Accountant. Kevin has shared the stage with Dave Liebman, Diana Krall, Oliver Jones, Tommy Banks, Ron Paley, Mike Downes and Ted Warren. He is the leader of the local dixieland group Regina Riot and the Saskatchewan Heritage Big Band, and is a regular of the Bob Moyer Big Band and the Rory Allen Band.
