Jazz Lovers will be packing the house this weekend
Vancouver’s premiere jazz venue, Cellar Jazz, has a full weekend of top-drawer concerts slated, with shows Friday & Saturday nights and two special matinee performances.
Friday, Oct. 26 (eve)
Saturday, Oct. 27 (matinee)
Some of the finest of the genre is slated to appear on Friday night and for two Saturday afternoon shows, when the Bob Murphy / Pat Coleman Quartet take to the stage. The all-star organ quartet features Bob Murphy (Hammond B3), Pat Coleman (guitar), Phil Dwyer (tenor saxophone), and Joe Labarbera (drums).
Saturday, Oct. 27 (eve)
Saturday evening Vancouver pianist and composer Jillian Lebeck celebrates the release of her second album Jillian Lebeck Quintet. An emerging star on the Canadian jazz scene, Jillian will perform on Fender Rhodes keyboard, and will be joined by Jon Bentley (saxophones), Paul Rushka (bass), and Paul Townsend (drums).
