Canadian Blues Women to Appear in Concert at Massey Hall

Each year for the past two decades the Toronto Blues Society has presented the Women’s Blues Revue, a stunning showcase of some of the finest in Canadian blues music and musicians.

This year’s event is no exception, with another cast of world-class emerging and established blues talent, with Shawne Jackson, Treasa Levasseur, Roxanne Potvin, Dawn Tyler Watson, Nikki Yanofsky, and Layla Zoe taking to the stage for the 21st annual Women’s Blues Revue at Massey Hall this Saturday December 1, at 8 pm.

The impressive list of talent doesn’t end there, for the artists will be backed by the 2007 version of The Women’s Blues Revue Band. Led by musical director Suzie Vinnick (bass, guitar), the group features Lily Sazz (keyboards), Margaret Stowe (guitar), Brandi Disterheft (bass), Michelle Josef (drums), Sarah McElcheran (trumpet), and Carrie Chesnutt and Colleen Allen (saxophones).
