Grammy-nominated Singer to Perform Calgary Concert
Recently nominated for two Grammy Awards, pop-jazz crooner Michael Buble heads out on a Canadian tour in January before heading off to the U.S. and Australia.
Making a stop in Calgary on Tuesday, January 15 to perform at the Saddledome, Buble tours in support of his latest album, Call Me Irresponsible, released this past spring.
Born in Vancouver in 1975, the Big Band singer, songwriter and actor grew up listening to his grandfather’s collection of jazz records. He was ‘discovered’ in 2000 when performing at the wedding of former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney’s daughter, where he was introduced to producer David Foster.
He released his debut self-titled album in 2003, reaching the top ten in the UK, Australia and here at home. Followed by the chart-topping Come Fly With Me video in 2004 and this year’s Call Me Irresponsible release, the 32 year-old has sold more than 11 million albums, won multiple Juno and Canadian Smooth Jazz awards, received two Genie nominations and is now nominated for his second Grammy.
