Foley to Appear at Blues at the Bow

Juno award-winnning guitarist Sue Foley makes an appearance in Alberta on Saturday, January 19th, at Blues on the Bow.

Born and raised in Ottawa, blues/roots musician Sue Foley is internationally known as an accomplished guitarist, songwriter and vocalist. Although only in her thirties, she has been writing and performing for over twenty years.

With ten of her own albums under her belt, in 2007 Foley appears on the collaborative release, Time Bomb, featuring fellow guitarists Roxanne Potvin and Deborah Coleman.

In 2000 Sue was honored with her first Juno Award for Best Blues Album. Since 1999 she has received a record-setting seventeen Maple Blues Awards and three Trophée De Blues in France. Sue was also nominated in the US for a prestigious W.C. Handy Award for best contemporary female artist in 2002. Foley has shared stages with such greats as B.B. King, Buddy Guy and John Lee Hooker.
