Blend of Blues, World Music Featured at Epcor Centre

Calgary Epcor Centre’s BD&P World Music Series presents a double bill featuring two of Canada’s foremost blues and world music artists, Ndidi Onukwulu and Jim Byrnes on Thursday, January 24 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall.

Ndidi Onukwulu

Toronto singer Ndidi Onukwulu, winner of the New Artist of the Year award at the Maple Blues Awards, brings her fusion of blues and world rhythms to the Series, personifying innovation on the Canadian musicscape.

Jim Byrnes

Vancouver-based veteran actor and blues musician, Jim Byrnes, a multiple award winning bluesman, was awarded the 2007 Juno for Blues Album of the Year for his latest project, House of Refuge, a collaboration with Zubot and Dawson. The musician brings his gospel rooted guitar and vocal show to the Epcor for this performance.
