Blues Master Demonstrates Why He’s a Legend
The Epcor Centre’s Carma Acoustic Blues Series ends it’s 2007-8 season with legendary Canadian blues guitarist David Wilcox.
The solo acoustic show features the songwriter and guitarist in a rare up close and intimate environment at the Engineered Air Theatre on Friday, April 25.
A native of Ohio, Wilcox has based his career out of the South since the 1980s, when he emerged as a live performer in North Carolina and won the music industry’s attention in Nashville. He released three ablums for A&M before recording for other labels like Vanguard.
Wilcox, who has sold over 750,000 discs, released his latest disc, Airstream, in February 2008. The album marks his 14th release and features the artist in a stripped down environment showcasing his distinctive baritone voice, expert storytelling and outstanding guitar skills packed with alternate tunings and cut capos.
