All-star Roster Raises Funds for Music Students

Juno award-winning saxophonist, composer and producer Phil Dwyer heads up a star-studded evening of jazz on Saturday, March 22, when the fourth annual fundraising event for music and academic scholarships in the Qualicum/Parksville school district will take place at the Qualicum Civic Centre in B.C.

Dwyer has put together a stellar quintet for the event with featured guests Ian McDougall and Pat Coleman, sharing the bill with the Joe Trio with Allen Stiles (piano), Cameron Wilson (violin) and Charles Inkman (cello), roots and blues singer-songwriter Gerry Barnum and talented young clarinetist Liam Hockley, last year’s recipient of the Bill Dwyer Memorial music scholarship.

The artists are performing in support of the Qualicum Beach Honours Society and the Bill Dwyer Memorial Scholarship Fund.
