Improvisation the Mark of New Collection

Jazz Regina presents another installment of their year-round jazz programming on Friday, April 18 at le Bistro, when New Collection take the stage.

Heralding from different musical backgrounds, members of New Collection include Nigel Taylor (trumpet), Ian Tulloch (trombone), Kory Gibbs (percussion), Rob D (bass) and Ross Bearman (drums).

The group brings together a potluck of flavours unique and and intense, largely improvisational style. New Collection released their self-titled double disc live recording in September, 2007, and are working on a studio album which is to be released this spring.
