Great Blues in the Heart of the Kootenays

One of the summer’s best kept secrets for fans of the blues takes place at Rock Creek, B.C. this August 2nd & 3rd, when the third annual Sky High Blues Festival runs.

The two-day, family-friendly festival is set in the heart of the Kootenays on the Kettle River, with the Blues ‘n’ BBQ party best known for its down-home atmosphere and modest but first rate lineup of blues artists.

This year’s roster is no exception, with the headline act being Canadian legends Powder Blues Band. The infamous blues group joins Spokane blues/jazz group Ten Second Tom and local greats the Rippin’ Rattlers and Matt Dufus & The Pro Bono Band for the weekend’s mainstage performances.

A weekend pass is $75 and includes riverside camping as well as a membership in the Sky High Blues Society.
