Maple Blues Awards Recognized Achievement in Canadian Blues

Toronto Blues Society has announced online voting for the 2008 Maple Blues Awards will begin on November 1st and run through to December 6th, 2008. The awards recognize outstanding achievement in blues music in Canada for the past year.

The public are invited to vote for their favourite blues artists and industry members at the www.torontobluessociety.com website. Nominees were selected by a panel of 40+ blues experts that includes radio hosts, journalists and festival organizers regionally distributed across Canada.

Winners of the awards will be announced at the Annual Maple Blues Awards Gala in Toronto, on January 19, 2009. The Gala will be held as part of Blues Summit lV, January 17-19, a music industry conference.
