5th Annual Calgary Bluesfest Boasts Great Lineup

Calgary International Blues Festival celebrates its 5th Anniversary this August 6-9 at Pumphouse Park with a top-notch lineup of local, regional and international greats.

Running four days on the outdoor mainstage and nightly for the Twilight Blues Series dance parties in the beer garden once mainstage closes, this year’s festival proves to be the best ever.

Although many festivals are cutting back due to tough economic times, Calgary Bluesfest organizers are taking a different approach and thinking bigger & better.

Featuring international blues legends such as Booker T, Tommy Castro, Joe Bonamassa and Watermelon Slim & the Workers, Canadian giants Colin James, Julian Fauth and Rita Chiarelli, and up-and-coming stars Kat Danser, Alittle Voodoo, and a host of others, the family-friendly event promises something for everyone.
