Community Big Bands Swing in Cochrane

Cochrane Music Society presents their 6th annual Big Band Dance featuring non-stop music with three featured ensembles throughout the evening. Headlining the event are Riverside Jazz (Cochrane), Midnight Blue (Calgary) and Valley Wind Big Band (Cochrane), all community Big Bands formed by amateur musicians.

With doors opening at 7:30pm and dancing from 8:00pm till midnight, the event takes place tonight at the historical Cochrane Ranchehouse, 101 RancheHouse Road in Cochrane.

A community presenter, Cochrane Music Society is celebrating their tenth year of promoting shared musical expression and cultural heritage by providing music education to adults in the community. Offering a range of instrumental and choral opportunities to study and perform ensemble, the music program is run under the directorship of Rob Billington.
