Moreland and Arbuckle Return to Edmonton For Casino Appearance
Edmonton’s blues community is in for a treat on Friday, April 16th when Moreland and Arbuckle, a young blues-rock duo out of Wichita, Kansas, appear at the Century Casino. Opening for the show are Edmonton favourites Ron Rault and Dave “Crawdad”Cantera.
Guitarist Aaron Moreland and harpist/vocalist Dustin Arbuckle return to Edmonton after a successful appearance at the 11th annual Labatt Blues Festival, where they captured Edmonton fans with their high-energy, gritty performance.
The pair met in Kansas in 2001 and forged a unit that has taken the nation by storm. With elements of traditional country, rock and roll, folk and Delta blues, Moreland and Arbuckle have created a stir amongst blues fans for their performances and their critically acclaimed albums, 1861 and Cane Valley Blues.
Tickets for the April 16th show are $12.95 or $9.95 for Edmonton Blues Society members, and can be purchased at the Century Casino box office or at Megatunes on Whyte Avenue.
