Saxophonist Aaron Leaney Conducts Workshops

Calgary jazz saxophonist Aaron Leaney, best known for his work in the improvised field, presents the second of his three part workshops this evening at the Calgary Central Public Library.

The second workshop, Forms and Structures, covers the shape of the jazz song and how the jazz musician approaches playing on a standard.
In the final installment, Improvisation, to be held Wednesday, October 20, Leaney will discuss the development of improvisation over the history of Jazz and how key innovators changed the way music is played today.

Workshop events are free (with your library card) and will be held from 6:00-7:30pm at 616 MacLeod Trail S.E.
