Canadian guitarist Gary Wolfe's gorgeous new Smooth Jazz release Sun Up is the artist's long-awaited debut recording. Featuring a blend of Wolfe's originals and songs from jazz masters Dr. Billy Taylor, Stanley Turrentine, and guitar legend Wes Montgomery, whose spirit can be heard in this work. The album features a septet of the finest in Western Canadian jazz, with Wolfe on electric and acoustic guitars, Derek Stoll (keyboards), Jeremy Coates (acoustic, electric, fretless bass), Robin Tufts (drums), and the late Canadian jazz great Bob Day (flugelhorn).
